David d’Angers exhibition in Louvre

The spring sunshine brings lots of enjoyable rest and fun opportunities. During a holiday in Paris, people want to see the most famous attractions, for example the Notre Dame, the Arc de Triomphe or one of the most popular and famous museums, the Louvre.

This fantastic museum opened in 1793 and ever since there are lauds of permanent and temporary exhibition too. David d’Angers, born as Pierre-Jean David was born in 1788 in Angers. He was a very outstanding artist of the Romanticism.

The Louvre borrowed the exhibited works from the Musée des Beaux-Arts, Angers. This exhibition is part of the long-term policy pursued by the Louvre’s Department of Prints and Drawings to present works from the French museums’ great drawing collections.
