This exhibition is about the dynasties ruling from the 11th to the 15th century in Morocco and this exhibition will come to the capital of France, to Paris the first time. At the exhibition the successful dynasties, the Almoravid, Almohad and Marinied dynasties, the life and culture will be shown.
The exhibition Medieval Morocco: An Empire from Africa to Spain will show the life and the history, the culture and the political situations of the greatest dynasties of Morocco. At the exhibition there will be countless works presented to the audience from this period of time and visitors will have the chance to have a closer look on the life of the period when the western Islamic world was one of the most important and powerful state. At the exhibition there will be shown more than 300 works which will allow the visitors to discover more on the complex history of Morocco. There will be different and various items such as architectural decorations, textiles, ivory and calligraphy as well. The exhibition Medieval Morocco will take the visitors to a journey through the Moroccan and Andalusian culture of that period of time. The exhibition will be shown at the Musèe du Louvre in Paris from 17th October 2014 until 19th January in 2015. The entrance to the exhibition is for 13€.
