Coldplay visited Paris in December 2011, and soon they are returning to Paris again. We are for sure lucky here in the capital of France, because there are not many places who are visited by Coldplay that frequently. The concert in December 2011 was packed and we are sure that the concert on September 2nd in 2012 will be just as crowded.

When Coldplay visited Paris in 2011 the concert venue was Bercy, but this time Coldplay will do their concert in Stade de France. Consider the fact that Bercy can only seat at the most 17000 people, while Stade de France has a capacity on more than 80000 people. This will be a crazy event where everyone who wants to are invited to come. Coldplay performing at the same stadium where France won 3-0 against Brazil in the World Cup Final in 1998, what a place.

Coldplay, the band which was formed in 1996, led by the vocal Chris Martin and Johnny Buckland, has since then enjoyed a popularity almost unmatchable in the 21st century, and their tours are packed wherever they go. This tour will be in honour of their newest album released in the end of 2011, Xylo Myloto, their first studio album, which the best selling rock album in the UK in 2011.

The best view in Paris

If you come to Paris and would like to visit a place with a magnificent view, everyone would tell you to visit the Eiffel tower. This landmark of Paris from the end of the 19th century is more than 300 meters high and gives you a stunning view over Paris.

But, there is another landmark, not at all that well-known, but which can be just as great to visit as the Eiffel tower in Paris. This building is 220 meters high and it is known as the Montparnasse Tower. This skyscraper is the one and only in Paris, and it was the largest in all of France until the construction of Tour First in a suburb of Paris. Still, the Montparnasse Tower is a building with 56 floors and the fastest elevator uses only 36 seconds to get from the bottom to the top. From the top of the building, you can enjoy a different panorama view of Paris than from the Eiffel Tower, and it is a great thing when the Eiffel Tower is included in the view, and you not only see everything from the top of it.

The Montparnasse Tower was finished in 1972 and was opened in 1973 and it is still standing as a solid landmark, still not that well-known in Paris. Pay a visit to it, and you will visit an attraction most tourists miss out on!

Paris the best city on earth for students

A UK research group has currently released the results from a research trying to find out what is the best city in the world to be a student. Guess what city won? Paris! On the second place behind Paris you will find London and on the third place Boston. The full list can be found here.

On the list you can find two other French cities, Lyon on a 14th place and Toulouse on a 46th place.

Paris Big Wheel – for three more days

Since November 18th there has been a giant Ferris Wheel located on Place de la Concorde in Paris, and it will stay there only three more days, until February 19th. If you are looking for a beautiful view in Paris, the Ferris Wheel is the activity to check out. It is available every day between 10.30 and 24.00, and we recommend it to everyone, especially after the sun has gone to bed!

During the trip you will sit 60 metres up in the air from where you can enjoy a stunning view of Champs Elysees and the Arc de Triomphe like never before.

The price for this activity is 8 Euro per person.
