What can you do in Paris during Easter? In this short article, we will list some of the possibilities you can do in Paris during Easter. Easter is one of the most important Christian feasts or holidays when we celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus Christ.

So in this occasion plenty of Easter related programs are waiting for everyone in Paris. As Easter is a traditional family celebration several family and Easter related programs are waiting for all the visitors in Paris during the feast such as the egg hunt which will take place on 5th April (2015) at the Champ de Mars from 10 in the morning until 5 in the afternoon which is a great program for children.

At the egg hunt children must find eggs which they can exchange to real chocolate in the end. Another perfect program for families and for children is the Easter at Disney Village. At Disney Village visitors can enjoy various programs including egg hunt, educational shows and countless other activities as well. In Paris the museums, pubs, bars, shops and restaurants are all open on Good Friday although maybe they are less busy than on a normal Friday.

As Easter Monday and Easter Sunday are public holidays the shops, restaurants and museums are closed on these days except Louvre which will be open.

There are literally countless movies that were shot in the capital of France in Paris so in this short article we will just list and introduce you to some of the most popular ones.

Da Vinci Code

Probably one of the most famous ones is the American mystery thriller movie the Da Vinci Code which was directed by Ron Howard. The film starts in Paris and its most famous spots such as the Louvre. The movie is an adaption of the novel Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown. The film stars Tom Hanks, Audrey Tautou, Ian McKellen, Alfred Molina, Jürgen Prochnow, Jean Reno and Paul Bettany.

Midnight in Paris

Our second movie from the list is the Midnight in Paris. The Midnight in Paris is an American romantic comedy fantasy movie which was released in 2011 and it was written and directed by Woody Allen. The whole movie is set in Paris and follows the story of the young screenwriter Gil Pender how he travels back in time every midnight. The movie stars Owen Wilson, Rachel McAdams, Marion Cotillard, Kathy Bates and Carla Bruni.

Ratatouille

Our third favorite is the Ratatouille. Although the Ratatouille is only an animated movie it still takes place in the beautiful Paris. The Ratatouille is an American computer-animated comedy movie which was released in 2007. The movie is produced by Pixar Animation Studios and Walt Disney Pictures. Ratatouille the name of the movie refers to the French dish ratatouille. The film tells the story of a young chef and an ambitious rat who is passionate about cooking.

Mission Impossible: Fallout

In the brand new Mission Impossible movie, you can see lots of scenes from the beautiful city of Paris. A quite large part of the story takes place in Paris, and you get some really nice panorama shots as Tom Cruise jumps out of a plane above Paris to get hold of a bad guy.

Parfume: The Story of a Murderer

Parfume: The Story of a Murderer is a German thriller movie which was released in 2006 directed by Tom Tykwer and written by Andrew Birkin and Bernd Eichinger. The movie takes place in the 18th century France and it tells the story of the young man Jean-Baptise Grenouille who is an olfactory genius. The movie is an adaption of the novel Parfume by Patrick Süskind.

Inception

One of the most known and most popular Christopher Nolan movie, Inception has also some scenes that were shot in Paris for example when Leonardo DiCaprio travels to Paris to find the perfect architecture for his plan. Inception is an American science fiction thriller film which was released in 2010. The movie stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Ellen Page, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Marion Cotillard, Ken Watanabe, Tom Hardy, Dileep Rao, Cillian Murphy, Tom Berenger and Michael Cain.

Taken

Another famous movie that was set in Paris is Taken at least some of the scenes in the movie takes place in the capital city of France. Taken is a French action thriller which was premiered in the cinemas in 2008. The movie was written by Luc Besson and Robert Mark Kamen and it was directed by Pierre Morel. The movie stars Liam Neeson, Maggie Grace, Leland Orser, Jon Gries, Katie Cassidy and so on. The story follows Liam Neeson who is a former CIA agent who tries taking down the human traffickers who kidnapped his daughter.

2 Days in Paris

The last movie on our list is “2 Days in Paris”. 2 Days in Paris is French-German romantic comedy-drama movie which was released in 2007. The movie was written and directed by Julie Delpy who also played the female main character in the movie. The movie tells the story of a couple staying for two days in Paris.

Paris Marathon 2015

The capital city of France, Paris hosts some of the nicest events every year. This year will not be any different from the previous years either. As Paris is one of the most popular tourist destination in whole Europe it is not surprising that the city has countless various programs and activities through the whole year.

One of the highlights of the city is the Paris Marathon. The Paris Marathon is one of the most popular sport events not only in Paris but in the whole country and in Europe as well and every year thousands of people takes part in this special event.

This year the Paris Marathon will be held on 12th April 2015 from 8.45 in the morning. The race starts on the Champs-Elysees and the route usually heads through the most beautiful spots in the city such as the Louvre, Place de la Bastille and the halfway point is right at Rue de Charenton. The route then follows the Seine passing Ile de la Cite then goes through Pont Neuf as well. During the race there is also a drinking point at Trocadero and the race finishes on the Avenue Foch. The Paris Marathon entry fee is 99 euro.

Which are the top events in Paris in 2015? In this article we will list some of the nicest programs in 2015.

Paris is the capital city of France and one of the most visited and most popular cities in whole Europe and in the world. Paris is not only the fashion capital but also the most fascinating European city. As Paris is a really popular destination there are countless programs such as various concerts, festivals and exhibitions through the whole year. So we will just go through some of the programs the city offers in 2015.

If you are into sports especially marathons and jogging then the perfect program for you is the ‘Marathon de Paris’. It is one of the most popular sport event in the city and it attracts thousands of people every year. The route of the marathon leads through the most beautiful spots in the city. The ‘Marathon de Paris’ will be held some time in April 2015. Another famous sport event in the life of the city is the ‘French Open Tennis (Roland Garros)’. Through the years it grow itself out to one of the largest tennis tournament in Paris.

If you more into films and film making then the best program for you will be the ‘Festival Paris Cinèma’. At the festival you can check the premiers of the French movies along side with the international movies as well. The ‘Festival Paris Cinèma’ will take place some time in July. Each year in November when Christmas and the holidays are close the Christmas markets open their gates in the city. The markets are usually open from the end of November until the end of December or the beginning of January.These markets may not be as famous as the christmas markets in cities such as Prague and Budapest, but they are absolutely worth visiting anyway!

Apart from the various festivals, marathons and markets in 2015 Paris will host multiple concerts as well. In this year there will be more than 1900 concerts in the capital of France and visitors can attend the most famous artists concerts such as Ed Sheeran, U2, Usher, Robbie Williams and so on.

Fantastic light in Versailles

Les Grandes Eaux nocturnes, that is the name of the magical fountain show which takes place in Versailles, France. The show unfolds front of your eyes and the fountains of Versailles take the main role in this beautiful show.

The fountains are lighted up in a thousand colours and during the show with the play of the colours, the water and the classical music played in the background you can also enjoy a wonderful firework display over the Neptune fountain in the grande final. This show gives a particular memory of the beautiful gardens of Versailles showing it in a really unique way, that has never seen before. It invites you for a new musical and visual journey to explore the fountains, the royal gardens and the groves while you wander around the grounds of Versailles.You will discover many areas and each areas have their own soundtrack and water display.

The show is available from 21st June until 13rd September 2014 and it is starts from 20.30 and it ends at 23.05. The entrance fee for adults is 24 euros but there are reduced ticket as well for 20 euros.
